*2nd graders can choose either or both classes. A 20% discount is available if your child registers for both classes.

About Sweet Pea Yoga

Sweet Pea KIDS is an environment where children can develop and strengthen their yoga practice in a peaceful, creative, and fun-loving class. In addition to enjoying the variety of beneficial yoga postures that build strong bones, improve flexibility and balance, kids will discover how yoga can be integrated into their everyday lives and interactions beyond the mat. Kids will learn tools for developing mindfulness, cultivating compassion, making healthy life and social choices, calming techniques, and kid-friendly meditation exercises.

The King Elementary PTO is proud to announce the return of BOKS, a before school physical activity program, at King Elementary this winter. BOKS prepares children for a day of learning and is an important step in helping children gain an appreciation of the benefits of exercise and healthy choices that will last a lifetime. 

A huge thanks to Jessica Spaman for volunteering her time to be the lead instructor and point of contact for BOKS. In addition to being a parent of a kindergartner, Jessica is a certified fitness trainer and child/adolescent clinical social worker. Jessica will be joined by several parents who have also graciously volunteered to help run the program. BOKS is a great way to build community, camaraderie, and confidence while strengthening mind and body! We hope that you will share our enthusiasm for this program, and you will, in turn, see a positive impact on your children.
