📍 King Elementary Back Playground
- 2:30-3:30 - Trunk Decoration Setup - Cars must arrive no later than 3:00.
- 3:30-4:00 - Sensory-Friendly Trunk or Treating: low noise, no flashing lights, low crowds, calmer experience
- 4:00-5:30 - Trunk or Treating open to all!
- 5:30-6:00 - Clean-up
If you’re decorating a trunk, we ask that you must commit to being there from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. No early exiting is allowed for the safety of all guests. Thank you!
🌟 Sensory-Friendly Half Hour (3:30–4:00 PM)
We’re proud to include a Sensory-Friendly Half Hour at the start of our Trunk or Treat! From 3:30–4:00 PM, this time is reserved for members of our neurodiverse community who benefit from a calmer environment.
During this half hour, we’ll keep:

Noise levels low (no loud music or microphone announcements)

Lights steady (no flashing or strobe effects)

Crowds minimal (to reduce sensory overload)
To help us create this peaceful space, we kindly ask that only families who need this sensory-friendly experience attend during this time.
If you’re hosting a trunk, please help make this possible by maintaining a calm atmosphere — and consider sending your own children to the playground until 4:00 PM, when the full event opens to the public.
🎃 What to Bring
If you're decorating a trunk or volunteering to purchase and restock additional treats, we suggest bringing about 300 nut-free candies or non-food items (like pencils, stickers, bouncy balls, etc.). And don't worry – if you decorate your trunk, your kids still get to trunk-or-treat, too!
✨ Prizes & Fun!
Our volunteer judges will choose the top 3 trunks and top 3 costumes! (We'll provide you with selection criteria.)
